In order for science fiction to become science fact it first has to be visualized or put into words to eventually become visualized.
Author of 2001, A Space Odyssey, Arthur C. Clarke once said that, “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.” Technology today can be translated into so much magic and in and of itself conjures visions of the future. As a relatively new genre, Solarpunk is the future visualization tool that I aspire to generate due to its philosophical outlook on humanity's harmony with nature and technology.
AI art generation is still in its infancy but the onset has seen a lot of Solarpunk art being generated by people all over the world. Just check out the Midjourney Discord server and you're bound to find Solarpunk art in various forms, styles and colors. It's a new and exciting tool that helps people envision their ideas in a way they never could before. Especially for those who cannot draw.
Below are some examples of some Solarpunk concepts I have been playing around with. These are all of my least successful ones BUT offer me some sort of starting point for concepts I can then bring into Photoshop and finish or combine with others. In essence it is really a new way of sketching and visualization for me. Check out the various degrees of Solarpunk craziness below.
